Advantages of Pole Bird Feeders
There are many different
offerings for pole bird feeders, that is a bird feeder that mounts onto a pole with the use of a metal plate
or a pole mount attachment made out of wood which is already on the feeder. We offer both options, if you already have a feeder
or birdhouse pole that has the metal mounting plate on it, then the easiest and least expensive way is to buy a feeder from
us without the pole mount attachment. However if at this time you do not have a pole with the metal plate, we think it is
easier and less costly to purchase the feeder or bird house from us with the pole mount already on, all you have to do then
is find or buy an inexpensive pole, secure it in the ground, and just slip on the feeder.
There are many advantages
to using a pole to mount your bird feeder. First it is easy to place the pole exactly where you would like it to be for optimal
viewing. Then there is the advantage of being able to protect the feeder from predators, one, by situating the feeder away
from trees where squirrels can jump from, and two, with the use of baffles etc under the feeder to stop critters climbing
up from below, which is not easy to do if the feeder is on a tree, deck, short shepherds hook or maybe your house. Another
benefit of using a pole mounted feeder is that you can place it right in your flower garden, adding color and bones to the
garden with the added pleasure that while you are gardening you enjoy the activity from feeding birds. And lets not forget
the flexibility of being able to easily relocate the feeder by moving the pole and feeder or by having inconspicuous poles
placed around your yard that you can use when desired, don't worry, the birds will soon find the feeder again, and you may
find the wild bird feeder works better in one location than another.
