About Our Small Business

Our business is located in the beautiful town of New Gloucester, Maine.

Our business started at the beginning of 2008 with our website being launched online on July 4th 2008. The launching date (Independence Day) was not a coincidence but maybe more of a personal statement and dream. In Maine it is very common for people to have more than one job, as the seasons change, so do the needs of employers. Being self employed for most of the year was and is very satisfying, it was the seeking of work during the winter months that was hard to do each and every year, never knowing if there would be work or enough to last through the season, so WestWind BirdHouses was born.

The best thing about owning a business handcrafting bird houses, bird feeders, bat houses and soon garden statuettes, is the opportunity for endless creativity. We are forever coming up with ideas that we hope our customers will enjoy, we want to offer a large variety of houses and feeders, but our main goal is to have those houses and feeders last many years, not just a couple of seasons.

Our Goals

  • To maintain the highest quality standards for our products.
  • To provide the best customer service possible.
  • To promote wild bird care and conservation.
  • To promote bat care and conservation.
  • To aid our customers in attracting and enjoying wild birds and bats.

After looking at bird houses and feeders made by our competitors we decided we could offer a better product at a better price.

Keeping the cost down is an important goal, we want to make our products affordable to more people. As our company grows we will strive to not only keep our prices low but LOWER them even further.

We want to be the first place you look when looking for bird and bat houses and bird feeders.
